Getting to Barr

From the North follow the A77 towards Girvan. At the roundabout just North of Girvan take the left turning and follow the B734 for 2 miles to Old Dailly. The B734 then turns to the right towards Barr. Follow the road for 3.5 miles to the village of Barr.

If you are approaching from the South through the Galloway Forest on the A714 just 2 miles North of Pinwherry there is a bridge on the right. This is the B734 which after 5 miles of narrow roads through the Stinchar Valley reaches Barr Village.

If you want to follow the route of the River Stinchar from the coast you can turn onto the B7044 by turning right just north of the Ballantrae Bridge. Follow the road until it joins the B734 Eastbound. After 5 miles join the A714 North and after 1.5 miles there is a bridge on the right joining the B734 again on its narrow track, 5 mile scenic route to Barr.

Once in Barr travel East through the town onto the Changue Road. The parking is around half a mile from the village.
